Karl, Mick-Mick, and I played billiards at the mall. None of us are particularly good, but Filipinos are amongst the best players in the world; see Efren Bata Reyes and Django Bustamante.
We played at an arcade in the middle of the mall, not a pool hall, so no one there was competitive or hardcore.
Apparently, there are three big “B’s” in Filipino sports culture: basketball, billiards, and boxing. Two down; one to go.
